i had a rough chat with a customer service lady. i was askin how many computers i can install W7 with using the same key, and she linked me to a .pdf and said "all information you need can be found here!". i asked her to show me where (50 pages fuck off) and she said "I HOPE I HELPED. HAVE A GREAT DAY!" and disconnected. wtf? thanks for doing your job, useless semi-autistic whore (that is, redirecting me to shitty documentation).
anywho, i dunno.. the OS itself isn't half bad, definitely noticed my laptop usage went up after the fresh re-install. i got the official version free from school back in september, so i had to wait a while for the updates to start coming in after official release, so i couldn't use a lot of software until then. memory usage has definitely been cut and pre-loaded services are automatically managed. improvements on pre-existing software like paint and calculator is a nice touch. native support for tablet pc's, though the calibration is such a hassle (i made my friend do a 200-point calibration test for shits, even though the default is more than fine).
some vista programs will not work correctly, so either you can run it in a virtual machine or just forget about it..
worth the investment? i'd say so.
